Ten Days to Go!
What's happened this week:
The Kickstarter is currently funded at 286% -- which is both thrilling and mind-blowing! With ten days to go, I have more than exceeded my wildest idea of what this campaign could do...
I have just finished uploaded the latest (and I hope last!) update of the entire project to the printer's website -- all that's left now is to find out the total number of decks I need to order, and hit "Order."
I found out this week that I got approved for a table at the Patchwork Craft Fair in Santa Rosa, the last weekend in June -- my plan is to offer The SPIRICAL Tarot for sale, and DIY 3-card readings so people can try it out. I've never seen this done before, and I have no idea how it will go... it'll be an adventure! So if you're local, I'd love to see you there :)
What I'd like to do:
I'd like to start working on my next project. I'm not sure what it will be yet (other than that it will be another deck of some sort), and I'm not sure if I will do another Kickstarter campaign... but I miss that creative energy.
I need to go through the The SPIRICAL Tarot Workbook one last time, just to make sure it says what I want it to say. I haven't looked at it in quite awhile, and I hope it doesn't need too much work!
What I've learned:
It's harder than I thought to separate myself from how the deck is doing. Kickstarter sends out regular emails updating me on the status of the campaign... and even though I don't want to, I find myself focusing on that percentage number!
It's been quite rainy and overcast here for the last week, and while I'm glad for the rain (we need it), I'm realizing how much I miss the spring sunshine -- and how much the gray weather affects my mood and productivity :(
30 days (the length of this campaign) is a really long time!
I'm very grateful to Kickstarter -- without a platform like this, I'm pretty certain I would never have had the opportunity to produce this deck. There are some really amazing projects there; I recommend surfing around for awhile, it's very inspirational!
